Service Description
Relationship/Family Therapy is emotionally focused, considers the role of society/culture, uses family systems theory and applies a variety of therapy approaches including CBT, DBT, ACT, EFT. All are applied through a humanistic, person-centered therapy lens which emphasizes a person's inherent motivation toward health, growth, and actualization; highlights their strengths and values which support their success; and, empowers them to bring about the goal or change they seek. Common experiences explored include relationship issues, desire discrepancies, communication, boundaries, emotional immaturity, codependency, generational patterns, triangulation/conflict between family members. Relationship/Family Therapy is provided inclusively and welcomes members of the LGBTQIA+ community to navigate issues impacting any relationship and family structure experiences as well as minority stress experienced within relationship and family systems. Appointments requiring greater than 50-60 minutes can be extended to not more than 90 minutes in total. Sessions greater than 60 minutes must be planned prior to appointment. Session time extensions are prorated and charged in addition to the base session fee (e.g., 90 minute session is charged as $150 (60 minutes) + $75 (30 minutes) = $225).
